Paula has been with BAC since 2010. Before BAC, she coached for 10 years, working with Age Group through Senior swimmers. Her coaching philosophy is simple: to develop well-rounded swimmers for a long-time career in swimming.

During her 8 years of competitive swimming with the Minneapolis YWCA, Bloomington Swim Team, and University of MN Gopher Women's Swim Team, she was a 12-time MN State Champion, 2-time MN State Record holder, MN State High Point Champion, 3-time Zone Champion, Zone Record holder, Senior National Qualifier, and set a Canadian National Relay Record

Jennie has been a member of our Coaching Staff since 1998. Jennie coached our Developmental team in Bloomington for over 8 years. She has since taken over our Masters swim program and assists at all of our levels. 

She swam for Richfield High School and competed at the State High School level, earning numerous All-State honors in the Breaststroke and Individual Medley. She also swam for Richfield Swim Club from the time she was 8 years old through high school. Jennie graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Maria has been coaching with BAC since February of 2024.

She joined her local USA Swim Club when she was 10 and swam competitively through high school. At The College of St. Benedict (St. Joseph, MN) she swam the Butterfly and the 200 IM and graduated with academic honors.

Maria went from being in swimming lessons to teaching them and hasn't looked back. She first joined BAC as a Masters swimmer. She loves combining her dual passions for swimming and working with children into coaching our newest swimmers. 

Hannah has experience from her swimming on BAC and the Kennedy HS teams. along with experience working with young swimmers in lessons.  

We welcome Brenden to our coaching staff this summer.

Brenden swam with BAC for six years, from 11 to 17 years old, before competing at the high school level for five years. Primarily a sprinter,  he specialized in the 50 and 100-yard freestyle and earned a lead-off position in a state-qualifying 200 Freestyle Relay my sophomore year. I currently attend the University of Mary, where I compete in Division II baseball."

Please welcome Libby back to our coaching staff as a recent Graduate at Gustavus 

Libby coached Age Group  with us last summer and swam for BAC for at least 5 years, Kennedy High School and Gustavus College. 

She wiil be with us for a short time this summer as she goes to pursue her Graduate Degee in Duluth.

Joel coached with BAC through the summer of 2003, he then was named the Head Coach of WEST Express Swim Team in Chaska. He was their Head Coach for three years. Joel’s return to BAC came in the winter of 2007.

Previous to his first stint with BAC, Joel coached with the Foxjet Swim Team where he coached Developmental and Age Group levels. Joel has over 20 years of competitive swimming and coaching experience, including coaching a Special Olympics team for 5 years.

Joel swam and graduated from Prior Lake High School and went on to graduate from Mankato State University (currently Minnesota State University-Mankato), where he competed on the men’s swim team and also went on to be an assistant coach for the men’s program.
